I think a good life begins with YOU. What is within you, your thoughts and feelings, play such a huge role in everything….how you are going to greet each day, each encounter, each situation that arises. It is YOU who makes the decision to start your day positively or negatively. The things that may seem small are really so much bigger ….. spending time with family and friends, the smell of coffee in the morning , sunrise and sunset, the sound of the rain on my tent, warmth of the sun on my skin, being in nature, ocean waves, the smell of freshly cut grass, children laughing, feeling loved I have always loved the outdoors but am learning to enjoy it even more as I get older. It soothes, heals and allows me to be present. Nature gives me the grounding energy I need to think more clearly, gain perspective and heightens the appreciation I have for this beautiful planet. I think living in the moment with a sense of appreciation and gratitude reinforces the positive in our life.

I don’t know where I would be without my horses ! I’ve been riding since I was a little girl and I finally got my first pony when I was 6 years old. Horses are my passion. They have taught me to be patient, responsibility and that hard work does pay off ! Nothing puts a smile on my face like a good ride on my horse. These 2 horses are best friends and can make any bad day better. When explaining my love for horses, I also can’t forget the people I met along the way. Me and Alicia started as little girls riding horses at Redwood Stables and quickly became best friends. From sharing horses at horse shows, to quiet nights at home, fun 2 AM rides, or dancing the night away like nobody is watching, the good and the bad, we have been through it all. Horses make friendships that last a lifetime. I am forever grateful.

Yoga fills me and brings me back to me. It balances my life and keeps me grounded.
I’ve been practicing yoga for over ten years and decided to take my yoga teaching training course in 2015. I was fortunate to study with Vineeta Sharma and it changed my life. It was perfect timing. She taught me so much. I love the spiritual as well as the physical aspect yoga brings to my life. Yoga on the mat and yoga off the mat. I teach a restorative and gentle flow and I look to inspire my students both physically and mentally by focusing on breathe and releasing the mind and focusing on being present. Positive thoughts create a positive mindset which creates a balanced and positive life. Love yourself, find balance, stay strong but most importantly be you.Shanti, Shanti, Shanti. Jeff and I were living and teaching in Ingonish. We came home for the weekend, and he dropped me off at Mom and Dad’s as usual and said …”See you tomorrow”. He went on his way to visit his parents and Dad and I were home (Mom was gone to My brother’s house for something). Dad and I were in the dining room chatting for a while, when Jeff came back into the house. He said he needed to talk to me about something important. Immediately I thought the worst. I figured someone was sick, or worse. Dad just got ip and walked away down the hall to the bedroom. Jeff took me into the living room, put his hands on my shoulders (I’m freaking out wondering what was wrong). He started off by saying “I love you…” then continued on to say how much he loved me and my family, and etc. He then reached in his pocket and I flipped!!! I couldn’t believe it! I was that blubbering fool who couldn’t stop saying “Oh my God, Oh my God!” Lol. He got down on one knee and asked me to be with him for the rest of our lives. Needless to say…my immediate answer was yes! Then out pops Dad from behind the wall. He knew the whole time. Jeff had called him that morning and asked for his blessing. A few minutes later Mom walked in, not having a clue, and almost hit the ceiling when we told her. She was followed by Derrick, Janel, Rita, Rory, and Calum. (Jeff had called Derrick, my brother, from the car beforehand asking him to be his brother in law. It the most special moment, and having my whole family there with us was the icing on the cake! We’ve been married now for four years, and added the love of our lives, Gemma, our dog to our home! Kevin, when you did our photos, you were so easy to work with and willing to try anything. I had a vision of what we wanted as far as engagement photos went, and you hit the nail right on the head!!! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you!!!!

I want to thank Kevin for taking the time to photography our pregnancy pictures. Becoming a parent excites us both and with it comes the realization that we are responsible for the wellbeing of another human being. The notion of this may scare any new parent. However, for us it adds to our family dynamics as our baby will have an older brother. While taking our pictures my son used my phone to photograph our session. He was excited to do so. Kevin even offered to take pictures of him as a little independent photo shoot. He was so enthused with his photo session as were we. Many thanks Michelle, Blake & Jayden Kelly.

When we began to think of who would capture our wedding photos, we could not think of anyone better to ask than Kevin Linden. Kevin has a unique ability that perfectly captured the love between us on our special day. Having a photographer work with us is something very foreign and unnatural for us, but Kevin certainly was able to provide great insight as well as a few laughs which helped in the creation of his beautiful work. We will always cherish the moments from this day because of his eye for taking the perfect photo. We highly recommend him to other couples looking for a photographer. Thanks Kevin!
